Star Wars: Tales of the Empire (2024) is an animated anthology series you can watch online on iFILM. Six short episodes follow two women whose lives collide with the Galactic Empire at different points in time — both starting from loss, both choosing very different roads out of it.

Morgan Elsbeth, voiced by Diana Lee Inosanto, turns grief into a ruthless climb through Imperial ranks. Former Jedi Barriss Offee, voiced by Meredith Salenger, has no such ambition; she just needs to stay alive in a galaxy that has made survival its own kind of compromise. The stories run in parallel rather than crossing, which is exactly the point — the Empire shapes people in ways that have nothing to do with lightsabers. Katee Sackhoff, Lars Mikkelsen and Warwick Davis appear in supporting roles.
