Synopsis
Gentleman Jack (2019), Season 2 — the BBC and HBO period drama you can watch online on iFILM, eight episodes set in 1834 Yorkshire.
Anne Lister and Ann Walker now share Shibden Hall as wife and wife, set on merging their estates into something the valley can't ignore. Anne chases coal and eyes the coming railway, while her old flame Mariana refuses to let go and Ann's relatives quietly hunt for a husband behind her back. Halifax itself is turning — riots, politics, real danger for a Tory and a lesbian who won't stay quiet.
Suranne Jones and Sophie Rundle carry it, and Sally Wainwright builds every scene from Lister's own coded shorthand. The nearer the season gets to its end, the harder the world pushes back, until Captain Sutherland sails down from Scotland to wreck a reputation. Stream Gentleman Jack Season 2 online on iFILM.
