Break Up Man

Break Up Man (Schlussmacher, 2013) is a German comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Paul works for an unusual Berlin agency: for a fee, he's the one who tells people they're being dumped, sparing his clients the awkward conversation.

Then one assignment goes completely off the rails. The freshly dumped Toto turns out to be so needy and unhinged that he clamps onto Paul and turns his life into a road-trip nightmare. Two wildly different men end up stuck together on the same journey, forced to put up with one another. Matthias Schweighöfer plays the cool professional, Milan Peschel the impossible Toto.

Schweighöfer didn't just take the lead — he stepped behind the camera too, co-directing with Torsten Künstler.
