Synopsis
Fright Night 2: New Blood (2013) is a US horror-comedy directed by Eduardo Rodríguez — watch it online on iFILM. The film reimagines the franchise from the ground up: a group of American students lands in Romania for a study-abroad semester and quickly discovers their new professor, Gerri Dandridge (Jamie Murray), is a vampire who feeds at night and teaches film history by day.
Charlie (Will Payne) figures it out first. Convincing anyone else is the usual problem. The stakes sharpen when it turns out Gerri needs a specific kind of victim for a blood ritual — and Charlie's ex-girlfriend fits the criteria. The Romanian locations are used well; real Bucharest architecture and night streets give the film a grungier look than a studio set would allow.
This is a direct-to-video release and plays like one — fast, messy in places, and uninterested in building slow dread.
