Synopsis

During the Song Dynasty, the renowned general Yang Ye is left without reinforcements thanks to a rival's treachery and ends up surrounded in the mountains by an enemy hungry for personal revenge. When word reaches home, his seven sons defy orders and ride out to save him — each with his own weapon, temper and weak spot. The road to their father becomes one ambush after another, and not all of them will make it back.
The film draws on the centuries-old Chinese legend of the Yang family warriors, a story still known by heart across China.
