Company Business

Company Business (1991) is a spy thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Nicholas Meyer and starring Gene Hackman alongside Mikhail Baryshnikov. A retired CIA operative is pulled back in for what looks like a simple job: escort a burned Soviet spy through West Berlin in exchange for a captured American agent — two million dollars changes hands along the way.

The exchange falls apart almost immediately. Two men who spent their careers as adversaries are suddenly on their own in a foreign city, stuck with a suitcase of money neither of them is supposed to have, with both the CIA and Soviet intelligence closing in. Their options narrow to one: work together.

Baryshnikov, best known internationally as a ballet star and defector, turns out to be a natural screen partner for Hackman's weathered veteran. Meyer — who directed Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan — keeps the focus not on tradecraft but on two thoroughly tired professionals who are genuinely done with the game.
