Synopsis
Childrens Hospital Season 1 (2008) is a medical-drama parody you can watch online on iFILM — ten short episodes that began life as a web series and skewer every hospital-show cliché at once.
Plot is beside the point; the joke is. Cat dumps Glenn, Lola fakes a brain tumor to ditch Owen, and the two exes promptly "console" each other. The Chief calls a staff meeting about the tumor that doesn't exist. Blake, a melancholy clown, treats patients with the healing power of laughter and eventually performs surgery with it on a dare. Each installment is its own sketch where the doctors do everything except practice medicine.
Created by Rob Corddry, the cast includes Malin Akerman, Lake Bell, Rob Huebel, with Jon Hamm and Michael Cera dropping by. The humor is dry and deliberately ridiculous — built for Adult Swim fans who aren't looking for logic. Episodes run a few minutes each, so the whole season goes down in one sitting.
