TV-14Synopsis
The Equalizer (2021), Season 1 — a CBS crime drama led by Queen Latifah, ten episodes you can watch online on iFILM. It reboots the cult 1980s series and hands the lone-avenger role to a woman for the first time.
Robyn McCall is a retired CIA operative trying, and mostly failing, to live an ordinary life as mother to her teenage daughter Delilah. Her conscience won't let her sit still, so she posts an anonymous ad and starts taking the cases the system abandoned. Over the run she pulls a girl framed for murder out of the line of fire, goes after human traffickers, shields a war journalist hunted by a hit squad in France, and races to stop a bombing. Former intelligence hands Mel and Harry back her up, while Detective Dante keeps trying to put a name to the vigilante he can't catch. At home, Delilah has no idea what her mother actually does.
Latifah anchors the whole thing — less superhero gloss, more street-level talk about justice for people who usually go unheard. The finale finally drags both of her lives into the same room. Stream The Equalizer Season 1 online on iFILM.
