Synopsis
Season 2 of Helix (2015) is up to watch online on iFILM — thirteen episodes that drag Syfy's bio-thriller off the polar ice and onto a remote, wooded island. Fifteen months after Arctic BioSystems, a fresh CDC team answers an outbreak tied to a sealed religious commune.
Everything has changed. Swap the snow and steel for a crumbling abbey, a magnetic preacher named Michael, and his followers — one of whom turns out to be Alan Farragut. The new pathogen traces back to a tree whose red sap might be a cure, or a death sentence. The season braids two timelines and slowly exposes why the Ilaria corporation has chased immortality for so long. Trust runs scarce here: brother turns on brother, disciples turn on their shepherd.
The writers trade the bunker's claustrophobia for the slow dread of a forest cult, and the story turns darker, closer to folk horror than outbreak procedural. Best for viewers who stuck around after season one and like science colliding with belief. Stream Helix Season 2 online on iFILM.
