Synopsis
Love on Trial (恋愛裁判, 2026) — watch online on iFILM. A Japanese-French co-production directed by Koji Fukada, the film centres on Mai, a J-Pop idol whose management contract carries a strict no-dating clause. She falls in love anyway, and the clause becomes a problem with a deadline.
Kyoko Saito leads the cast — a real member of Hinatazaka46, which gives her scenes a specificity that straight acting couldn't fake. Yuki Kura and Kenjiro Tsuda co-star. Fukada keeps his camera on the institutional machinery: contracts drafted to protect brand value, fan expectations functioning as enforcement, and the narrow space left for anything resembling a private life.
