Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (Season 1)
Where malevolence meets malpractice.
Synopsis
Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (2004) is a supernatural series you can watch online on iFILM. Long before this modern Maine hospital stood, a textile mill occupied the site, and children burned to death there in a fire. The place never let go of that memory, and it shows.
King built the show as a loose reworking of Lars von Trier's Danish cult series The Kingdom, then filled it with ghosts of his own. A girl's crying echoes through empty corridors. A patient doomed to paralysis suddenly walks again. There's a surgeon who lives in the basement, a nearly blind security guard, a nurse who faints at the sight of blood. The staff keep brushing off the strangeness — and that, here, is exactly how you get hurt.
The cast includes Andrew McCarthy, Bruce Davison, Diane Ladd and a young Jodelle Ferland, with Craig R. Baxley directing. One season, thirteen episodes, that signature King blend of dread and deadpan humor. It suits viewers who want slow, eerie, haunted-building horror over cheap jump scares.
