Touch (Seasons 1–2)
The world is connected. But only his son sees how.
Synopsis
Touch (2012) is a Fox drama series you can watch online on iFILM, created by Tim Kring of Heroes fame. Kiefer Sutherland plays Martin Bohm, a widower raising an 11-year-old boy named Jake who hasn't spoken a single word and refuses any physical contact. Jake fills notebooks with numbers and stares at the world from a distance.
Martin slowly realises the sequences Jake writes aren't random. They form patterns connecting strangers across continents — a soldier in Iraq, a musician in Tokyo, a mother in Dublin — each story looping back into the next. David Mazouz carries Jake through two seasons without one line of dialogue, which turns out to be a quiet kind of acting tour de force. Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Danny Glover add weight to the supporting threads.
Twenty-six episodes across two seasons, with an ending that leaves questions unanswered — which will frustrate some viewers and suit others just fine. If you liked the mosaic structure of Babel or the numerology threads of Lost, Touch operates in similar territory. Stream both seasons of Touch online on iFILM.
