Chapelwaite (Season 1)

Chapelwaite (2021) is a gothic horror series you can watch online on iFILM, adapted from Stephen King's short story "Jerusalem's Lot." Adrien Brody plays Captain Charles Boone, a sea captain who packs up his three children after his wife's death at sea and moves them into his ancestral estate on the coast of Maine in the 1850s.

The townspeople of Preacher's Corners don't hide their suspicion of the newcomers, and the crumbling Chapelwaite itself seems to resist being inhabited. Local schoolteacher Rebecca Morgan — played by Emily Hampshire — starts keeping a journal of the strange events, which slowly forces her to confront the generational curse the Boone family has been burying for decades. Brody plays Charles as a man caught between grief and dread, never quite sure which one is worse.
