He arrives at the wrong moment: new in town is antique dealer Straker, whose silent partner Barlow never seems to surface during daylight hours. Disappearances follow. Ben, waitress Susan Norton, schoolteacher Matt Burke, and Father Callahan each inch closer to the truth — and find something that dismantles everything they assumed about where evil comes from.
