Synopsis
Sitaare Zameen Par (2025) — "Stars on the Ground" — is an Indian drama-comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by R.S. Prasanna and starring Aamir Khan as a basketball coach whose career collapses in spectacular fashion.
Gulshan Arora is certain the head coach's chair should be his. One sideline argument, a drunk drive, and a crash into a patrol car later, a court assigns him 90 days of community service: coaching a basketball team at a center for people with intellectual disabilities, in preparation for the International Championship in Mumbai. He shows up certain the whole thing is beneath him. The film, gently but firmly, disagrees.
The title echoes Taare Zameen Par (2007), Aamir Khan's directorial debut about a child with dyslexia — the two aren't a sequel, but they share a premise: that the standards applied to "normal" tend to miss the actual point.
