Wander

Wander (2020) is a crime thriller directed by April Mullen — watch it online on iFILM. Aaron Eckhart plays Arthur Halloway, a private investigator who runs a conspiracy podcast, drinks heavily, and is never entirely sure which of his suspicions are real. When a young woman turns up dead in the small New Mexico town of Wander, he takes the case.

It doesn't stay simple. Arthur quickly connects the death to the accident that killed his own daughter, and from there the investigation folds inward — into his own paranoia, his own grief, his own deteriorating grasp of what's actually happening. Katheryn Winnick plays his partner trying to keep him on track; Heather Graham appears as a woman who may know more than she's letting on; Tommy Lee Jones steps in as a figure whose motives remain deliberately opaque.

The film bets everything on an unreliable point of view — the detective himself is the compromised instrument, which means every clue comes pre-distorted.
