Synopsis
Escape from Planet Earth (2013) is Cal Brunker's animated family comedy, available to watch online on iFILM. To the aliens of planet Baab, the single most dangerous world in the universe is, of all places, ours. And that is exactly where their celebrity hero ends up stranded.
Brothers Scorch and Gary are opposites in every way. Scorch (voiced by Brendan Fraser) charges into every mission first, while cautious Gary (Rob Corddry) stays back at mission control running the numbers. When a distress signal arrives from Earth, the fearless astronaut races off to the rescue and walks straight into a trap — the secret Area 51 — and only his brainy, by-the-book older brother can pull him out. The voice cast also includes Jessica Alba, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ricky Gervais, and William Shatner.
This is breezy, brightly drawn fun for a family movie night: chases, a few good gags, and a warm streak about siblings who bicker but always come through for each other.
