Kokoro Connect (2012) is an anime series you can watch online on iFILM. Five Yamaboshi High students never found a club that fit, so they built their own — the Student Cultural Society. Taichi, Iori, Himeko, Yui and Yoshifumi just wanted to hang out together. Then, with no warning, they start swapping bodies.

A being wearing the face of their teacher Goto runs an experiment on the group: first it throws their minds from one body into another, later it forces their hidden thoughts out into the open. At first it plays like a silly prank. But living in someone else's skin drags up everything each of them buried for years — fear, resentment, a crush nobody dared name. Taichi is torn between Himeko and Iori, and now his choice weighs on more than his own heart.

Unlike the dozens of school comedies it resembles, the sci-fi twist here isn't a gag but a scalpel: bodies switch in order to lay the psyche bare. Adapted from Sadanatsu Anda's light novels, it balances lightness with genuinely painful subjects — loneliness, self-worth, trust.
