Chowder (Seasons 1–3)

Chowder (2007) is a Cartoon Network animated comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A round little aspiring chef named Chowder signs on as apprentice to the eccentric caterer Mung Daal, and the kitchen never quite recovers.

Half the fun is how the show looks. Characters are drawn, but the backgrounds are real fabric and patterned wallpaper, and the whole thing happily breaks the fourth wall whenever it pleases. Chowder means well and fails constantly, mostly because he'll eat anything that isn't bolted down. Mung tries to teach him cooking, his wife Truffles barks orders from the front desk, and a rival's apprentice named Panini keeps insisting Chowder is her boyfriend, which he loudly denies. The voice cast includes Dana Snyder, creator C.H. Greenblatt, Tara Strong, John DiMaggio, and even Ron Perlman.
