What Keeps You Alive (2018) is a Canadian horror-thriller from director Colin Minihan — stream it online on iFILM. Jules and Jackie head to a remote mountain cabin to celebrate their first wedding anniversary: lake, forest, no phone signal, no neighbours.
The peace cracks when an old acquaintance of Jules lets something slip — a detail about her past that Jackie had never heard. From that moment the film tightens like a vice. Hannah Emily Anderson and Brittany Allen carry almost the entire runtime as a two-hander, and the beautiful wilderness setting quickly turns from backdrop into trap.
The terror here doesn't come from what jumps out of the dark but from realising you may never have known the person sleeping beside you.
