Synopsis
Dracula 2000 is a horror film from 2000 that you can watch online on iFILM. Director Patrick Lussier drags the old vampire legend into the present day, and a young Gerard Butler plays the Count five years before 300 made him a star.
A crew of high-tech thieves cracks the secure vault of a London antiques dealer named Van Helsing (Christopher Plummer). Instead of treasure they find a coffin sealed for a hundred years. Pry it open, and Dracula wakes into the modern world, crossing the ocean to New Orleans on the trail of one young woman. Van Helsing's assistant Simon (Jonny Lee Miller) gives chase, unaware of the secret his mentor has guarded for decades. Justine Waddell, Jennifer Esposito and Omar Epps round out the cast.
The script hands Dracula a brand-new origin, tying his bloodline to a biblical story, which was an odd swing for a turn-of-the-millennium slasher.
