Synopsis
"Thirteen at Dinner" (1985) is a British-American TV detective film you can watch online on iFILM — Peter Ustinov's third outing as Hercule Poirot, adapting Agatha Christie's "Lord Edgware Dies" (1933), directed by Lou Antonio.
Broadway actress Jane Wilkinson (Faye Dunaway) wants out of her marriage to Lord Edgware. He refuses. She asks Poirot to change his mind. Then the lord turns up dead — a knife at the base of his skull — and Wilkinson should be the obvious suspect. She isn't. Thirteen dinner guests confirm she was at the table the moment it happened.
One detail catches the eye: David Suchet appears in a supporting role here, four years before he claimed the Poirot part at ITV and ran with it for 25 years. Stream "Thirteen at Dinner" online on iFILM — a Christie alibi puzzle with a footnote film buffs will catch.
