Synopsis
Body Shots (1999) is a drama you can watch online on iFILM — a raw look at the Los Angeles club scene and the morning that turns it inside out. Director Michael Cristofer follows eight twenty-somethings whose night starts as the usual chase for booze, company and maybe a little sex.
The friends scatter across the clubs expecting an easy night out. By dawn it all collapses: a hungover Sara accuses hard-partying Mike of rape. From there the film stops being about the party — everyone is forced to take a side, and each retelling of that night sounds convincing in its own way. The movie hands the verdict to you.
The cast features Jerry O'Connell, Amanda Peet, Sean Patrick Flanery, Tara Reid and Ron Livingston. Built on blunt to-camera monologues and uncomfortable questions about consent, it took on a subject the culture wouldn't argue about openly until years later.
