Synopsis
The Trust (2016) is a darkly funny crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Two Las Vegas evidence-room cops trip over a clue most colleagues would miss: a hidden vault stuffed with drug money. So they decide to crack it.
Nicolas Cage plays Sergeant Stone, who maps out the heist like an accountant balancing books, while Elijah Wood's Waters tags along more from boredom than greed. The closer they get to the cash, the murkier their partnership turns. What starts as a quiet after-hours job stretches into one long, sweaty night where trust becomes the riskiest currency in the room.
This is the directing debut of brothers Alex and Benjamin Brewer, and it rests almost entirely on the Cage-Wood pairing. Slow, odd, occasionally very funny, then suddenly brutal.
