Synopsis
Sweetheart (2019) is a stripped-down American survival horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by J.D. Dillard, it drops Jenn (Kiersey Clemons) onto a tiny tropical island after a shipwreck, alone except for a badly wounded companion who doesn't last long.
Days are spent on basics — water, fire, shelter. Nights are another matter. Something large drags itself ashore after dark, and it isn't there to share the beach. Jenn doesn't scream and run; she watches, she catalogues, she builds a plan.
The film runs almost entirely without dialogue for its first act. Clemons carries it on body language alone, which tells you exactly how good the performance is.
