Synopsis
The Garfield Show (2009) brings the world's laziest tabby back to the screen, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Garfield still worships lasagna, despises Mondays, and runs the household as if everyone in it exists to serve his nap schedule. This series lifts Jim Davis's comic-strip cast and drops them into bright 3D animation.
The old gang is all here. Odie the dim, devoted dog drools on cue, owner Jon Arbuckle keeps losing every battle of wills, and Nermal — the sickeningly cute kitten — gets mailed off to far-flung places the second Garfield runs out of patience. Each short episode is a small domestic scheme: scoring food, dodging a diet, outwitting the vet or the neighbors. Frank Welker voices the cat with that trademark deadpan.
Produced by a French-American team under Philippe Vidal with Davis himself on board, the show keeps the strip's sarcastic bite intact and simply moves it into a new format. It's an easy family pick: little kids get the slapstick and color, grown-ups get the dry jokes that land if you grew up reading the comics.
