The Secret in Their Eyes

The Secret in Their Eyes (El secreto de sus ojos, 2009) is an Argentine-Spanish crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Ricardo Darín plays Benjamín Espósito, a retired court investigator who picks up an old case file after 25 years: a young woman raped and murdered, a suspect who walked free, a resolution that never came.

The investigation runs through Argentina's turbulent 1970s, where political interference could pull a guilty man out of custody in a day. As Benjamín reconstructs the past — with help from his former colleague, judge Irene Menéndez (Soledad Villamil) — a second thread surfaces: something unspoken between the two of them, patient and 25 years old. The film's final scene answers both questions at once, and the answer lands.
