Synopsis
Big Game (2014) is an action-adventure romp you can watch online on iFILM, with Samuel L. Jackson as the President of the United States. Following an old rite of passage, thirteen-year-old Oskari is sent alone into the Finnish wilderness for a day and a night to bring back a kill and prove he is a man.
What he finds instead of a deer is an escape pod. Inside sits the leader of the free world, whose Air Force One has just been blasted out of the sky by terrorists over Lapland. Suddenly the most protected man on Earth depends on a kid with a bow, while mercenaries hunt them both. Oskari (Onni Tommila) and the President have to stick together to survive the night. Ray Stevenson, Victor Garber and Jim Broadbent fill out the cast.
Director Jalmari Helander, who dreamed up the killer-Santa horror Rare Exports, plays this one as a knowingly silly throwback to 1980s blockbusters: massive explosions, daft twists and a hero the size of a child.
