Synopsis
The Keepers (2017), Season 1 — a seven-episode Netflix crime documentary you can watch online on iFILM. It opens with a cold case from 1969 and keeps pulling back to reveal something far larger underneath.
Sister Catherine Cesnik taught at a Baltimore Catholic school, disappeared in November 1969, and was found dead weeks later. Two of her former students — now retired women — refused to let the case stay buried. Each episode adds a layer: alongside the murder investigation, a pattern of sexual abuse by a predatory priest at the school emerges, and the connection between the two grows harder to dismiss. Survivors speak on camera for the first time. The archdiocese pushes back hard. In the 1994 storyline, those who filed charges face direct intimidation. A tip line brings more suspects; Catherine's younger sister joins the search in the final stretch.
Seven episodes, one sustained case: that those with power to stop this chose not to. Stream The Keepers Season 1 online on iFILM.
