Synopsis
Outsourced (2007) is a gentle romantic comedy from director John Jeffcoat, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Todd, a Seattle call-center manager who sells novelty junk, gets blindsided: his whole department is shipped to India, and he is sent along to train his own replacement.
Nothing about India makes sense to him at first — the food burns, the calls drop, and the staff follow rules he can't read. Josh Hamilton plays Todd as he slowly trades irritation for curiosity, while a sharp colleague named Asha (Ayesha Dharker) upends what he thinks he knows about the job and about himself. It's less a satire of offshoring than a story about a closed-off man thawing out.
Shot on a small budget in real streets rather than on sets, the film lets India feel lived-in instead of postcard-pretty. It later inspired the NBC sitcom of the same name. A warm, low-stakes pick for a night when you'd rather smile than brace yourself. Stream Outsourced online on iFILM.
