TV-PGSynopsis
NOVA (1974), Season 16 — twenty standalone science documentaries from PBS, watch online on iFILM. Broadcast in 1989, the season opens right where that year began: the scorching summer of 1988 and the Yellowstone wildfire that followed.
Each episode runs its own story. A NOVA crew flies into Chernobyl alongside correspondent Bill Kurtis; a two-part investigation pries at the mystery of Easter Island's stone giants. The season sweeps from chaos theory and the Gulf Stream to the opening shots of the human genome race. Richard Feynman gets a full portrait — bongo drums and all. One episode, Confronting the Killer Gene, sits a real family at a testing-room table: do you take a genetic test for Huntington's disease when a positive result rewrites everything you planned? That question lands harder than most headlines. Stream NOVA Season 16 all episodes online on iFILM.
