Synopsis
Leaving Neverland (2019) is a British-American documentary you can watch online on iFILM. Director Dan Reid gives four hours of screen time to two men — Wade Robson and James Safechuck — who say they were sexually abused by Michael Jackson during their childhoods and spent decades keeping quiet about it.
The film doesn't build a legal case. It watches two adults, a choreographer and a businessman, work through why they spent so long defending the biggest pop star on earth, and what it took for them to stop. Their parents speak on camera, their wives speak, and the contradictions between childhood memory and adult understanding sit there without being resolved. No narration, no expert panels, no counterpoint — just the accounts and the weight of them.
When it premiered at Sundance 2019, it split audiences and drew fierce responses from both directions. Difficult to sit with, and impossible to dismiss easily. Stream Leaving Neverland (2019) online on iFILM.
