Synopsis
Halston (2021), Season 1 is a five-episode Netflix biopic you can watch online on iFILM. Ewan McGregor plays the American designer who spent the 1970s turning his name into a luxury brand — and the 1980s watching it come apart.
The early episodes move fast: a new design team, a friendship with Liza Minnelli, a landmark show at Versailles, a business deal that looks like a breakthrough. Then Studio 54 takes over. Nights of cocaine and excess fray the friendships around him, cost him partnerships he thought were solid, and a sudden personal loss lands on top of a career already starting to slide. By the final episode the collapse is both financial and something harder to put a name to.
