Season 1
One man. One planet. One destiny.
Synopsis
Frank Herbert's Dune (2000), Season 1 is a three-part science-fiction miniseries you can watch online on iFILM — the Sci-Fi Channel's faithful take on Herbert's novel.
On the emperor's command, House Atreides leaves ocean-world Caladan to govern Arrakis, the desert planet that is the universe's only source of the spice. It's a setup. When the betrayal comes, young Paul and his mother Jessica escape into the dunes and are taken in by the Fremen, who believe an offworld messiah has finally arrived. Paul becomes Muad'Dib and turns the desert tribes against the Harkonnens and the throne backing them.
Three episodes carry the whole first novel, trading spectacle for politics, prophecy and palace intrigue. John Harrison's production won Emmys for its cinematography and visual effects. Stream Frank Herbert's Dune Season 1 online on iFILM.
