Synopsis
8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Season 1 is available to watch online on iFILM — two episodes where the panel-show crew hijack Channel 4's classic words-and-numbers quiz, with Jimmy Carr in the host's chair.
The setup is daft on purpose. Jon Richardson anchors one team while Lee Mack, Rob Beckett and, later, Stephen Mangan and Pointless brain Richard Osman line up against him. Susie Dent holds Dictionary Corner, Rachel Riley works the letters and numbers board, and Joe Wilkinson plus Tim Key keep derailing any attempt at playing it straight.
This first run mashes the panel format onto old-school Countdown, and it leans hard on British stand-up improv. Best for fans of fast, filthy comedy banter. Stream Season 1 online on iFILM.
