Fruits Basket (Seasons 1–3)

Fruits Basket (フルーツバスケット, 2019) is an anime series you can watch online on iFILM. TMS Entertainment's reboot of Natsuki Takaya's manga, it runs across three seasons released between 2019 and 2021 and, unlike the 2001 version, carries the story all the way to its ending.

Sixteen-year-old Tohru Honda ends up alone and, with nowhere else to go, sets up a tent in the forest. The land turns out to belong to the secretive Soma clan, and when they find her there, they invite her to move in. The family keeps to itself for a reason: hug a Soma of the opposite sex and they shift into one of the animals of the Chinese zodiac. Manaka Iwami voices Tohru, with Nobunaga Shimazaki and Yuma Uchida as Yuki and Kyo.

It opens soft and almost cozy, but by the final season the tone darkens — the curse becomes a story about shame, rejection, and the fear of letting anyone close.
