Synopsis
The Little Drummer Girl (2018), Season 1 is a spy drama you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes drawn from John le Carré's novel. Late 1970s Europe. Charlie, a young British stage actress on holiday in Greece, meets a stranger on the beach, and the holiday quietly turns into something else.
This season is one long recruitment, and it costs her plenty. Promised the role of a lifetime, Charlie is folded into a Mossad operation she barely understands, with her handler Becker steering her toward a Palestinian cell. First it's a cover story about two lovers. Then it's a car packed with explosives on an Austrian road, safe houses in London, and a militants' camp in Lebanon where being exposed means dying. The deeper she goes, the harder it gets to tell the performance from the person.
