The Little Drummer Girl (Season 1)
Seduction. Manipulation. Betrayal. Never trust a spy.
Synopsis
The Little Drummer Girl (2018) is a BBC spy miniseries directed by Park Chan-wook, adapted from John le Carré's novel — stream it online on iFILM. It is 1979. British actress Charlie meets a charming stranger on holiday in Greece, and within days she learns he is a Mossad agent named Gadi Becker who has been watching her for weeks.
Florence Pugh carries the series as Charlie, an idealistic young woman recruited to play a role that requires her to become the lover of a Palestinian bomber's brother. The job is to get close, to perform convincingly, and not to feel anything real. Alexander Skarsgård plays Gadi with a cool that never quite hides the damage underneath, while Michael Shannon is the calculating intelligence chief pulling the strings. Lubna Azabal and Charles Dance round out a cast that keeps every scene from settling into comfort.
Park Chan-wook brings the same cold precision he showed in Oldboy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance — long silences, immaculate 1970s mise-en-scène, and a creeping dread that the line between acting and living might not exist. Watch all episodes of The Little Drummer Girl online on iFILM.
