Gorgeous

Gorgeous (玻璃樽, 1999) is a Hong Kong romantic action-comedy you can watch online on iFILM, starring Jackie Chan alongside Shu Qi and Tony Leung Chiu-Wai. A young Taiwanese woman named Ah Bu finds a love letter sealed inside a glass bottle and follows it all the way to Hong Kong, expecting a fairy tale. What she finds is considerably messier.

The bottle's sender turns out to be gay, and no prince at all. But the dashing businessman C.N. is determined to win her over — including by fighting the best martial artists money can hire. Ken Lo and Bradley James Allan deliver two brutally clean bouts that give the film its action spine, while the story bounces between Ah Bu's suitors and her furious boyfriend back in Taiwan.

Chan plays against his usual screen persona here — quieter, more vulnerable, actually trying to charm rather than stunt his way through. It does not always work, but the moments when it does make Gorgeous worth the watch. Stream it online on iFILM.
