Synopsis
Samurai Jack Season 1 is a 2001 Cartoon Network animated series you can watch online on iFILM — 13 episodes that launch the whole mythology. Aku, an ancient shape-shifting demon, burns an empire and doesn't bother with a dungeon: he flings the Emperor's son into the far future, where Aku already rules everything.
The boy grows up trained across continents — swordsmanship in Japan, wrestling in Africa, archery further east — and finally forges a weapon that can cut the immortal demon. He loses the opening fight. In the future he picks up the name Jack from a group of street kids, then finds himself dropped into a world of robot armies, alien tribes, and enslaved peoples. Thirteen episodes track his first alliances: he helps a civilization of scientists, outwits three blind archers, fights a dark version of himself, and chases the first rumour of a time portal while Aku watches from his tower and sends new threats.

When Aku is reborn to set forth his reign of terror, the Emperor's son is sent off to learn the ways of the samurai. That boy becomes a man and attempts to slay Aku with a mighty sword, but Aku banishes him to the future.

The Samurai lands in the future and is named Jack. He is enlisted by a race of dogs to destroy Aku.

Jack gets weapons and beats back Aku's army of beetles saving the canine race.

Jack helps free the Woolies from the tyrannical Chritchellites.

Jack must get past three blind archers to reach an all-powerful wishing well.

When Jack mistakenly destroys a group of scientists' chance to escape Aku, he and the scientists join forces to try and fix the problem, hopefully returning Jack home as well.

Jack has an underwater adventure with a jelly-whale and sea monkeys while hunting foran ancient time portal.

Jack goes through a cave full of challenges only to find an old warrior longing to reach Valhalla.
