Rent goes up and everyone has feelings about it. One neighbor runs for block president with predictable results. There are acting classes, a stolen gas tank, a parrot that has heard far too much, and Magda finally believes she has found the right person. The security episode, the water pump episode, the candy-floss episode — each one is its own small disaster, each one resolvable by the next Tuesday.
