Season 38

Synopsis

Emmerdale (1972), Season 38 is the year the village buries a legend — watch online on iFILM across 281 episodes from 2009.

It opens by bringing Jack Sugden, one of the show's founding faces, home for the last time. The grief gets no room to settle. A fire tears through Ashley's church while a jealous Sally lets the danger turn on Laurel; David finally hears the truth about Leyla and Nathan; and Charity circles Cain and his hidden money, unsure what she actually wants.

On ITV since 1972, Emmerdale rarely lets a week pass quietly, and this run crams death, arson, affairs and greed into a single year. If you like your soap dense and relentless, Season 38 obliges. Stream Emmerdale Season 38 online on iFILM.
