Synopsis
Zero Day (2003) is Ben Coccio's found-footage drama you can watch online on iFILM, told entirely through home video. Two high schoolers, Andre and Cal, spend weeks recording themselves as they plan an attack on their own school.
There's no outside narrator — just the boys and their camcorder. They joke around, mess with the lens, and talk about weapons in the same flat tone they use for classmates and homework, counting down to the date they call "zero day." The handheld point of view is what makes it crawl under your skin: you're in the car with them, in the basement, in the backyard, watching two ordinary teenagers walk calmly toward something monstrous. Coccio drew openly on the Columbine shooting but invented his own names and events.
No swelling score warns you what's coming, and no expert steps in to explain the why. The film just observes, and the cheerfulness only makes the emptiness underneath it colder. It plays more like a documentary than a thriller, and it's meant for viewers ready to sit with a story that offers no comfort. Stream Zero Day (2003) online on iFILM.
