Synopsis
The Moaning of Life (2013) is a British comedy-documentary series on Sky1 you can watch online on iFILM. Karl Pilkington — the reluctant traveller from An Idiot Abroad — has just turned forty and is not handling it well.
He's single, has no children, holds a job where he's regularly described as an idiot, and has a near-physical inability to be cheerful about any of it. Producers dispatch him to different corners of the world to observe how other cultures handle marriage, money, children and happiness. Karl watches, asks blunt questions, and reaches conclusions that don't really change his mind about anything. That's the joke, and it holds.
