Spiders

"Spiders" (2013) is an American sci-fi thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Tibor Takács. The tagline is "The City is Crawling" — that is also the entire premise.

A derelict Soviet space station crashes into a New York City subway tunnel, and the wreckage contains a species of spiders that evolved in zero gravity. They hit the ground and begin growing. Subway dispatcher Colin and safety inspector Rachel try to work out what is happening underground while the military moves in to contain the situation. By the time anyone has a plan, the spiders are already above street level.

Shot cheaply and without apology, the film commits fully to its creature-feature premise — no winking at the camera, no postmodern distance, just increasingly large arachnids tearing through Manhattan. A young Sydney Sweeney appears in a supporting role. Stream "Spiders" online on iFILM.
