Welcome to the N-H-K (NHKにようこそ！, 2006) is a Japanese anime series you can watch online on iFILM, based on Tatsuhiko Takimoto's novel. Satō Tetsuhiro is 22, unemployed, and has barely left his apartment in three years. He's convinced a secret organization — the NHK, the Nihon Hikikomori Kyokai — is manufacturing Japan's epidemic of social withdrawal.

Then a mysterious young woman named Misaki shows up with a rehabilitation contract and her own hidden reasons for helping. The show runs 24 episodes and covers more ground than hikikomori satire: game addiction, online scams, the particular dread of being young and purposeless in early-2000s Tokyo.
