Synopsis
A Veteran's Christmas (2018) is a Canadian-American TV film you can watch online on iFILM. Captain Grace Garland, a decorated Search and Rescue officer, comes back from two Afghanistan tours and gets stranded in River's Crossing a few weeks before the holidays — separated from her K9 partner and not quite sure what to do with peacetime.
Local judge Joe Peterson (Sean Faris) gives her a place to stay and takes it upon himself to show her what she's been missing: a proper Christmas, a real community, the kind of unhurried ordinary life military service doesn't leave much room for. Eloise Mumford plays Grace as someone trained for high-stakes situations who struggles with the simple ones. Director Mark Jean delivers what the genre promises.
