The Victims' Game (誰是被害者, 2020) is a Taiwanese Netflix crime series you can watch online on iFILM. Forensic analyst Fang Yi-jen reads a crime scene like an open book, yet struggles to read people — Asperger's keeps him at arm's length from everyone. Then a string of bodies lands on his desk.

A print on one of the corpses points to his estranged daughter, and rather than hand the case off, Fang starts digging on his own, off the books. A pushy reporter, Hsu Hai-yin (Tiffany Hsu), is chasing the same deaths from the outside, and together they trace a motive far sadder than simple bloodlust. Joseph Chang plays the lead dry and exact, never milking the diagnosis for sympathy.

Across eight episodes, directed by David Chuang from Tianqi Wu's novel, the show runs on theme rather than chase scenes: what drives forgotten people to make sure the world finally sees them, even in death.
