Tokyo Ghoul 'S'

Tokyo Ghoul 'S' (2019) is a Japanese live-action horror-action film you can watch online on iFILM, the second chapter adapted from Sui Ishida's manga. Ken Kaneki is caught between two natures — half human, half flesh-eating ghoul — and the split is tearing him apart.

To stay clear of the ghouls who hunt people for food, Kaneki rarely leaves the Anteiku café, working alongside Touka Kirishima. That fragile calm shatters when Shū Tsukiyama walks in. Nicknamed the Gourmet, this refined cannibal craves one thing above all: a taste of half-ghoul. Kaneki has to train his powers in secret while an anti-ghoul squad tightens the net around the ward.

Masataka Kubota returns as Kaneki, with Kazuhiko Hiramaki and Takuya Kawasaki directing. Bloody and tense, the film keeps circling one idea — what it feels like to be a monster who never asked to be one. Best suited to fans of grim dark fantasy who don't flinch at the gory scenes.
