Synopsis
Red Snow (2021) is a low-budget American horror comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Olivia Romeo writes vampire romance novels that nobody buys, and she's spending Christmas alone at her late mother's cabin by Lake Tahoe.
One night a wounded bat smacks into her window. She takes it in, nurses it back — and by morning the bat has become a charming, half-dressed man in her garage. From there nothing follows the script of her paperbacks: these vampires are the real, fanged, biting kind, and a romance writer ends up swinging wooden stakes between strings of tinsel. Genre fans will spot Vernon Wells, the Mad Max 2 and Commando heavyweight, in a small turn.
Director Sean Nichols Lynch made a bloody little Christmas trinket with its tongue in its cheek — about a novelist whose daydreams of fanged heartthrobs come true a bit too literally. Eighty minutes, no pretensions, and obvious affection for B-movie schlock. It's a couch-and-snacks pick for anyone who misses cheerfully cheap direct-to-video frights.
